I have recently been in love with great fitting outfits and once I grabbed my hands on this Asparagus green dress, It was a definite win for me.
I especially loved the horizontal pleat detailing on the dress which I believe was one of the specialties to make the dress appear less plain.So I first donned the beautiful piece at Karen’s (one of my girlfriends) pre-birthday party after she made it very clear that the ladies dress code was fitting short dresses.A fun fact,this is actually the first shade of a green outfit I have ever owned all my life.Those who know me can attest to my hatred towards the hue in the past.Truth is,I never really found the colour to be flattering in any single way hence I never really understood why Sharon(haha another of my girlfriends) embraced it to be her favourite colour.
I paired up the dress recently during a Christmas party with this Long,gorgeous,chiffon Kimono I got from EveMayaDesigns which incredibly matched with the dress.You can find them on Instagram with the handle Evemayadesigns and get other beautiful hand-made products like the choker I am wearing here as well.The complete look blew me away and I got inspired to post about it.I think this a perfect versatile combo for any sort of event and occasion.I also want to challenge those like me,who feel like there is a particular colour you will only be caught dead wearing.
